ESSENTIAL FOR SOME, USEFUL FOR ALL
Achieving an Accessible Ontario will take time - Goal 2025
Ontario is the first Canadian Province to pass a law to improve accessibility in the areas that impact the daily lives of people with disabilities, commonly referred to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
The college is committed to adhering to identifying, preventing and removing barriers to accessibility as outlined within AODA. The AODA sets out specific accessibility standards in five areas:
- Customer Service
- Information and Communications
- Employment
- Transportation
- Built Environment
We are providing links & resources here to assist educators in creating material, using media and teaching in ways that strive to meet the Ontario standards for accessibility.
