Event Details:
Quality Assurance (QA) processes have been implemented at Ontario colleges in an effort to continuously improve academic programs and meet the needs of all stakeholders. These processes gained increased attention as the focus of higher education (HE) shifted toward outcome-based education (Tam, 2014).
The main goal is to ensure high quality programs that provide graduates with knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for success in the workplace. Significant time and effort go into data collection and analysis phases of these reviews, and benefits are not always readily visible or tangible.
This session will provide a brief overview of St. Clair’s QA processes and facilitate discussion around real/perceived benefits and challenges associated with these processes.
