Join us over coffee & donuts to have open discussions with fellow faculty on various teaching and learning topics. Faculty are encouraged to share best practices, successes, challenges, and tips for success.
Learning Cafés are meant to be a safe space where faculty can speak freely without judgment. These are informal in nature so there is no formal instruction. Learning Cafés take place in-person at the South Campus. Topics are released monthly along with a registration link via college email. The CAE looks forward to plenty of enriching conversation and intriguing ideas to help our SCC faculty flourish in the classroom.
Upcoming Learning Cafés:
Join us on Wednesday, February 25th from 10-11am on South Campus (CAE Room A2332) for coffee as we engage in a collaborative discussion about the Challenges and Successes with Diverse Assessment.
Experimenting with new forms of assessment can feel risky, but sometimes it's worth taking! In this Learning Cafe, we'll engage in discussion around the challenges and successes we experience with diverse assessments and discuss all the ways we can challenge our students with meaningful and intentional assessments.
