Joanna Pitcher

Joanna has earned a Masters of Science Degree in biology as well as a Bachelors of Education degree from Western University. She started teaching as a sessional instructor at St. Clair college in 2006 and taught in both the Pre-Health Science and Academic and Career Entrance programs.  She was hired full-time in 2007 as a Professor in the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees program and was Coordinator of that program for 4 years.  

Joanna is a passionate and energetic teacher who enjoys sharing experiences and learning from others. She has mentored many individuals over her tenure and believes that mentorship is key to guiding new teachers during their first college teaching experiences.
